The next right thing

O Lord,
I am shuffling along, dazed and detached. It is morning and I cannot see how I will eat or shower or make it through the rest of this day. This surviving is harder than it seems. This living is excrutiating and lonely. Encourage me to breathe in and out and in and out again. Give me hope to get through the next thirty minutes. Help me put one foot in front of the other. Strengthen me to do the next right thing.

  2. Your honesty has met me right in my walk and home today. I thank you for your words that capture our daily struggle with depression and the pain that is around it.
